Naming of Libyan Unity Govt Delayed

By John Lee.

Reuters reports that the body tasked with naming a unity government has postponed the announcement of the government's members from Saturday to Monday.

Saying that it had made "great progress", it said it needs two more days to complete its work.

The UN's Libya envoy, Martin Kobler, said that UNSMIL regrets the delay in announcing the Government of National Accord (GNA), and urges the Presidency Council to adhere to the new target date it has set itself.

Meanwhile, Libya Herald reports that Ali Gatrani, one of Faiez Serraj’s deputy prime ministers, has resigned on Monday morning.
