One Response to Mogherini Visits New Libyan Govt

The whole instability - and inability of Libyans to find common ground for a new post Gaddafi Libya- is the division between the Western interests in Libya spearheaded by the U.S. and focus on establishing the former U.S. mercenary Khalifa Hiftar as "Libya's Sissi,"
as Hiftar is refereed to in Arabic and Israeli media, and of the African Union (AU) peacekeeping effort and mission in Libya to establish a nationalist Libyan Government for the Libyans - not for the Western multinational corporations wanting to control the future Libyan government for $ quadrillions in Libyan oil profits.

The fact that the pro-Western Libyan House of Representatives (HOR) refused to sign the Libyan National Accord (LNA) because its Article 8 stripped Hiftar of any position in the new government, proves that the West's utmost interest in Libya is a Hiftar dictatorship to secure firm Western control of Libya - as it did with Fatah al-Sissi's military coup in Egypt!
Hiftar tried to take over Libya militarily; failed miserably because he has no support inside Libya, and now the U.S. is using the HOR, most of whose deputies are elected in the Mohammed Jibril political party. Mohammed Jibril and Khalifa Hiftar are U.S. citizens, and banned being elected into office by Libyan Law. Now they try to take control of Libya by keeping Hiftar as Commander of the New Libyan Army, who will later try to take over Libya with a military coup - like Sissi did in Egypt. The future of Libya shall be determined by indigenous Libyans and the African Union, not by Mohammed Jibril and Khalifa Hiftar who
are just Trojan Horses of the Western interests! Nikos Retsos, retired professor, USA
