According to a report from Libya Herald, the head of the Information and Culture Authority for Libya's internationally recognised government, has announced that all press and cultural attachés at Libyan embassies are to be dismissed.
Omar Gawairi reportedly sent a letter to Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thinni blaming the decision on the current economic situation.
Several Libyan diplomats, including press attachés, have told the news agency that they have continued to work despite not having been paid for months.
