Libya Closes Embassy in N. Korea

KUNA reports that Libya closed its embassy in North Korea last year and its relationship with the country is at "the minimum level".

According to the report, the Gaddafi regime had close ties with North Korea since establishing diplomatic relations in 1974.

The South Korean Ambassador to Libya, Lee Jong-kook, told Yonhap News Agency that Libya closed the diplomatic office because of the expense involved.
