ENI's activity in Libya is continuing without problems. The group is awaiting the elections in Libya, scheduled for July 7th which will give the country a constituent assembly.
ENI CEO Paolo Scaroni explained the situation speaking aside at an event in Vicenza. "In Libya everything is fine, we are awaiting the July 7th elections, when the Libyan citizens will vote for the constituent assembly," he said, hoping, "that everything turns out in the best way," and that Libya, "resumes its democratic course as has happened in Tunisia."
He then expressed confidence in the future relationship between the two countries, "We are there, and the Italian businesses have an important place (there)."
