Libya's Al Zawiyah National Hospital and the Korea Shinhan Engineering and Construction Company have signed an agreement aimed at providing Libyan patients with the volunteering medical treatment services of Korean doctors at Al Zawiyah National Hospital.
Shinhan Company, which will be executing a 5,000 housing units project with HIB in Tripoli, along with a similar one at Al Zawiyah with ODAC, is planning to invite approximately 30 doctors and staffs from the Korea Open Doctors Society next month, in order to examine and treat Libyan patients who have been suffered ill health and injuries during the uprising last year in Libya.
The Korean company has mutually agreed to provide Libyan citizens with the diagnosis sectors for obstetrics and gynaecology, internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, dentistry, Oriental medicine for five days - February 20 to 24 - at Al Zawahiri National Hospital.
Byung Soo Kim, the assistant manager of the Shinhan Company, said that all Libyan patients regardless of any social position and residential location could receive the medical treatment. In addition, Shinhan is also planning to prepare a volunteering services for Libyan people afterwards, as a partner of Libya.
Dr. Ali S. Aresi, Director of Al Zawiyah National Hospital, said that as a result of this opportunity, future relations between the two countries would be greatly improved.
