Libya's Ministry of Labor says it wishes to hire foreign labor, including Egyptians and has set a two-month deadline for illegal expatriate workers residing in Libyan lands to send their applications.
"This will offer a window of opportunity to foreign laborers working in Libya illegally to adjust their status," the ministry said in a press release received by Egypt's Manpower and Migration Minister Fathi Fekri from Egypt's Labor Representation Office in Benghazi on Monday.
Those wishing to have their working status in Libya fixed can come forward and apply to the Libyan labor and interior ministries to be issued legal working permits, the release read.
