Air Malta said today it will resume air services to Libya on Monday November 28 with flights to Tripoli International Airport every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
"This decision was taken following recommendations by Air Malta's Technical Team that audited airports in Libya over the last three weeks. The team comprised experts in the field of flight operations, safety and security, engineering, ground and airport operations, regulatory affairs and commercial."
The airline's Chief Executive Officer, Peter Davies, said: "Air Malta has been looking forward to the resumption of services to Libya. The Tripoli service is positive news to the Maltese and Libyan business communities as it will strengthen the links and facilitate the movement of both passengers and cargo between the two countries. We intend to increase the number of services to Libya as demand picks up."
Tickets will be available for sale as from Tuesday, 22nd November 2011.
